Queer mind, queer space
If you don’t fit in the world, create your own
If you can’t live up to the rules, abolish them
Orientation is everything. It shapes not only how we inhabit space, but how we apprehend this world, how we look at things and where we direct our attention to.
What if direction, as the way we face and move, is organized rather than casual? The lines that direct us, the lines that we follow, are drawn in advance, relate to ‘being straight’ and depend on the repetition of norms and conventions.
I’d like to set myself free, give room to play, make mistakes, keep trying, fuck things up, fail and get lost in order to create a place where straight lines are absent. So we are free to move ourselves how we want, so that there is room to wander and see the world differently.
